Played on the school's first-ever football team as a Senior

Began career in the automobile business in 1969- Chillicothe, OH

Purchased the first dealership in Danville, KY 1989

Has won numerous awards for superior service in customer satisfaction from General Motors, Chrysler Corporation, Nissan Motor Company & most recently from Dodge, attained the #1 volume retail sales of Ram Trucks in MI, OH, IN & KYActive member of Centenary Methodist Church, Boyle County Chamber of Commerce & Danville Country Club

Serves on board of Community Bank Trust, The Gill Heart Institute & The Lexington Better Business Bureau

Community involvement with the Boyle County Library, Great American Brass Band Festival, Centre College, Norton Center for the Arts, Pioneer Playhouse, Bob Allen Classic Car Show

Supports the advancement of our youth by involvement in 4-H, Drivers Ed Programs & Millennium Park.

Coach, football, and golf.

 

Following an exceptional academic and athletic career at Lebanon High School, he played football at the University of Kentucky under the legendary Coaches, Bear Bryant and Blanton Collier, starting as offensive guard 52-54.

 

Coach of the 1962 AA Football Champions, winning 13-6 over Corbin and the first official football championship. Named 1962 Football Coach of the Year.

 

In his first year at DHS, his team won the CKC championship. His overall record was 28-23-2.

 

Following his time in Danville, he was an assistant coach at UK from 1963-66, then to the University of Cincinnati as offensive line coach under Homer Rice, and succeeding Coach Rice as head coach there from 1969-72. He then joined the ranks of professional football coaching, with the Baltimore Colts, the WFL Florida Blazers, the Chicago Bears, the Washington Redskins, and the Houston Oilers, and ending his career with a six-year stint as defensive line coach for the New York Jets (1983-89).

Football, baseball. On state championship teams of 1992 and 1994, both these seasons being 15-0. All State on both offensive and defensive teams! Played Division II football at Carson-Newman, where he played in 3 Division II championship games. Little All American and the AFCA All American team in 2000.

Head coach for the Admirals 2013-2020. His 2017 team won a state title.

Three-year starter, reported to be the only DHS player to play in every game of a 423 game win streak.
